Have you been struggling to maintain your pool? Are you unsure of the best way to keep your pool clean? If so, you're not alone. Whether you're a new pool owner or you've had a pool for years but you've never been able to keep it in top shape, WRX Pool Services is here to help. Below we've compiled a list of maintenance tips to help you keep your pool sparkling clean so that it is always inviting, refreshing, and ready to use. And if you don't have time to complete this checklist regularly, don't sweat it- our team would be more than happy to come and help you maintain your pool with our comprehensive pool services.
The pool water's chemical composition should be checked once or twice a week during the summer and every one or two weeks in the winter. The pH should be kept between 7.2 and 7.8, and the lower the pH between these limits, the less chlorine the pool will need. As the pH rises, the chlorine becomes less and less active, so many consumers add more. Chlorine in water with a pH of 7.0 has an activity of around 50%, and with 8.0, it is over 10%. Control the pH properly, and you will need to use much less chlorine.
The skimmer is installed on the side of the pool, and its primary function is to clean the pool's surface before the polluting waste is saturated and reaches the bottom. Everything in your collection comes to the body of the water, so the more influential the skimmer, the better you can keep things in the pool. There is a round access panel at the top. Please open it and dispose of the filter contents. Please keep it clean all the time.
It would be best if you did this every two weeks or whenever necessary. Turn off the pump to do this and release the system pressure. This is the basket installed just inside the clear glass of the pool pump. You can also clean the waste bin or leaf cup. It is recommended to have a leaf trap and a debris removal system. Get a variable speed or double speed pump ASAP, if you haven't already upgraded it. The initial expense of multi-speed pumps is well worth it.
Is it too high or low? The water should be right at the center level of the pool skimmer or tile for optimal performance and results.
If your pool is saltwater, then pay attention to these tips:
A salt system generator does produce chlorine, so you don't have to buy, store, or handle it.
This convenience comes at a price and comes with some risks. The cell must be kept clean, and the pool's chemical composition is even more critical for it to function well. Do not add too much salt.
Salt systems artificially raise the ph. As a result, it will use more acid. This device is excellent if used and understood correctly. It can be costly to buy & maintain, but it provides a beautiful experience on the water.
Clean your filter regularly whenever you need it. A good filter is the cartridge filter. These filters provide the best currents, use little water, ensure that the water is clean and sparkling, and it is only necessary to clean them a couple of times a year.
